Trebuie sa recunosc ca desi credeam ca stiu destul de multe despre meseria aceasta, dupa acel training am vazut ca mai sunt lucruri pe care nu le stapaneam, dar pe care Nicu cu mare amabilitate mi le-a impartasit. If I were to look back to my professional development, the first person of figure that comes to my mind is Nicu. Although he was not my first boss, he was, and still is, the one that shaped and influenced my career in pharmaceutical market.
I was part of Nicu’s team in Novartis Pharma and, after working together for three years, I can say that he achieved what few managers can: creating a team of future managers and not just one of medical reps (what we were actually by that time).
He showed us everything we needed to know about pharmaceutical promotion and, the most important thing, selling. I cannot count the training sessions we’ve had together; all team meetings looked like trainings to us. Even our field visits were actually… “mini”-trainings. Anyone can follow any or many training programs but what really matters in the end are… results. Nicu’s team had results and they were obtained through professionalism, realism and business orientation! He is an acknowledged manager and trainer not necessarily through titles and diplomas but through the people he developed and what the other people became.
For me, Nicolae Iordache is the answer to the question: “Who thought you to sell in this market?”
